Nevill Hotel, Llandudno, Plans unveiled

Matthew jones architects are excited to unveil their proposed plans for the redevelopment of the Nevill hotel in Llandudno. It is proposed to convert the existing Victorian building which includes the ground floor pub and owner accommodation above along with a new building on the side car park to create 20 high quality residential accommodation apartments with undercroft parking and landscaping.

Mr Peter Jones, the landlord who runs the business has decided he wants to retire after running the business for over 33 years and has decided to pursue the option of redevelopment following no interest in anyone wanting to take on the business as a going concern.

Matthew jones, Director of Matthew jones architects in Deganwy, who have been commissioned to carry out the plans said ‘ We are really please to help with this exciting project. The building is ideally located in the centre of town, right opposite the train station, and whilst the loss of the pub is regrettable, this residential conversion will give the building and locality a new lease of life. Whilst preserving the traditional Victorian Architecture, we have designed a new modern ‘extension’ that respects the traditional building and conservation area.’

Plans have been submitted to the council and a decision is expected early 2019.
